Ms. Herbas has more than seven years of experience in immigration law including non-for-profit immigration organizations and immigration law firms. Prior to joining the Capitol Immigration Law Group, Ms. Herbas concentrated her work on preparing and filing employment-based immigration cases, including L-1, H-1B, R-1, and TN visa classifications, PERM and permanent visa applications. She also undertook family-based applications including waiver applications. In addition to her work in employment-based immigration law, Ms. Herbas served as a research assistant, where she conducted interviews with various local government officials and completed a project on community cohesion in one of London’s boroughs. Ms. Herbas also worked with international students in the office of International Student Coordinator where she acquired the knowledge on regulations of F-1 and J-1 visas.

Ms. Herbas received her Associate degree in International Studies from Montgomery College and later transferred to American University to complete her undergraduate education in International Studies. Additionally, Ms. Herbas completed her Master of Arts in Migration and Law from Queen Mary, University of London while working for two non-profit immigration organizations in London helping refugees and immigrants in dire needs to adjust their status in the UK. Ms. Herbas was awarded a grade of ‘Distinction’ in her thesis.
